1. Basic finish protection The movers clean and inspect the piano's exterior first, then cover the finish completely in pearl foam so tape never touches the surface, preventing scratches and adhesive marks. Stretch film secures the pearl foam so the layers stay in place.

2. Hard corner guards Hard corner guards made for the job go over all four corners, protecting the edges, lid and pedals from knocks. Tape holds each guard firmly so it absorbs impact during loading and unloading.

3. Rigid outer casing The crew cuts cardboard to the piano's exact dimensions on site and builds a rigid shell for extra protection, then slides a custom fumigation-free crate over it. They fill the gaps completely to eliminate movement inside the crate, seal and reinforce it, and apply fragile and high-value labels.

Once packed, the piano clears customs and books space along with the rest of the personal belongings. This multi-layer protection plan carried it smoothly through the international ocean shipment.
