Moving from Wuhan to Manchester, UK
Service route: Wuhan to Manchester;
Service mode: door-to-door, one-stop moving service;
Case summary: Mr. Mu hired Seapoe Relo to ship furniture and luggage from his Wuhan home to Manchester, UK.
Mr. Mu and his girlfriend, both living in Wuhan, each received a job offer in the UK and planned to move to Manchester together for work. They couldn't bear to part with the things that filled their small home in Wuhan, so they decided to ship most of the furniture, luggage and odds and ends to the UK and keep using them there.
Once they had roughly sorted out what to take, Seapoe Relo's packing crew arrived at the agreed time with professional packing materials and wrapped Mr. Mu's furniture and luggage with care:

Packing process for furniture:
- White cotton paper as the base layer: prevents scratches on lacquered surfaces (the crew even wrapped the drawer runners!)
- Pearl cotton wrap: moisture and shock protection; a friend's glass coffee table came through without a scratch
- Corner protectors: EVA strips on the edges, so even rough handling can't do damage
- Custom cardboard: cut to the shape of each piece, three times thicker than factory packaging
- Fumigation-free wooden crates: used only for fragile items such as marble and lamps, which saves the fumigation fee
Packing process for clothing and luggage:
- Set aside the clothes you'll wear this season and next, so a long sea voyage doesn't leave you short of anything to wear;
- Have vacuum bags ready in advance and compress thick clothing before boxing;
- Bag each pair of shoes separately in shoe bags or cling film, lay them on their sides or upside down, and stuff socks and small items inside to use the space;
- After boxing, the crew wraps everything in cling film to keep out water and damp during transit.
The Seapoe team packed 7m³ of furniture and luggage from Mr. Mu's home and moved it to a Seapoe warehouse, where it waited to be consolidated with other customers also heading to the UK. Consolidation took about 10 days, and then the shipment went to sea. Seapoe's customs team handled the export declaration and clearance, leaving Mr. Mu with nothing to worry about.
About two months later, a dedicated truck pulled up at Mr. Mu's door in Manchester. The crew unloaded everything in order, removed the outer packaging and placed the items inside the house. One bed frame needed assembly, and the movers put it together free of charge. They cleared all the waste from the site and took it away when they left.
Mr. Mu said: "I thought an international move would be complicated and endless. It went far better than I expected. Thank you to Seapoe Relo for helping us start our new life!"
