Service Route: Shanghai to Hamilton, New Zealand;
Service Mode: Door-to-door full-container sea freight;
Case Summary: Mr. Liang entrusted Seapoe Relo to ship his newly purchased furniture by sea to Hamilton, New Zealand.
Mr. Liang is a new immigrant about to move to New Zealand, and he’ll be moving into his new home in Hamilton two months from now. After doing a detailed price comparison, he found that local furniture in New Zealand costs three to five times more than in China—and the style selection is so limited it’s hard to find pieces that match his taste and everyday habits.
A friend who had already emigrated successfully recommended Seapoe Relo’s full-container door-to-door sea freight service. Mr. Liang decided to buy all the furniture and appliances for his new home in China and ship them together in one container to New Zealand. That way he could save a lot of money and still get the familiar, likeable furniture styles he wanted.

Full-service Process
1. Receiving, Storage & Packing
Mr. Liang’s online furniture orders arrived at Seapoe’s warehouse in Shanghai over time. We provided 30 days of free receiving and storage with no additional warehousing charges. Once everything was in, our professional packing team did a second round of reinforced packing: solid wood furniture got four layers of protection, fragile items were custom-crated, and the whole process was documented with photos. After packing, we confirmed the final volume with Mr. Liang and even advised him to use the remaining space for extra daily items—so he got the most out of the full container.

2. Customs Declaration & Sea Freight
After all the goods were packed, our customs clearance team prepared all the required documents in advance and handled the export declaration on Mr. Liang’s behalf—he didn’t need to be there in person. Once the declaration went through, we booked the earliest sailing and provided real-time tracking so Mr. Liang could check the shipment status anytime.
3. Customs Clearance in New Zealand
As the cargo neared the New Zealand port, our clearance team contacted Mr. Liang ahead of time to prepare his new immigrant documents. They handled all the import clearance procedures and, using his new immigrant status, successfully applied for the maximum tax exemption—saving Mr. Liang a decent amount on duties.

4. Local Delivery & Unpacking
After clearance, our local delivery team in New Zealand used a dedicated truck to bring everything to Mr. Liang’s new home. The team carried all the furniture inside, placed the large pieces exactly where Mr. Liang had requested beforehand, helped unwrap and inspect each item for damage, and finally took away all the packing waste. The small items were left for Mr. Liang to unpack himself—so he could organize them the way he liked.
Mr. Liang was very happy with the whole service. We wish him all the best in his new life in Hamilton.
